Favorite Things Part 1
Welcome to our favorite things post. It’s no secret that Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I love finding the perfect gift for everyone I know. I also like getting a great deal, and I especially like getting ca$hback for everything I purchase. I also HATE going to the mall, but I really avoid going out shopping during the lead up to Christmas. I never have to leave the house, and everything arrives at my front door. All I have to do is wrap it and put it under the tree. And without further ado, the first of my favorite things this year…
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me, I LOVELOVELOVE blankets. I have so many, I might have a wee problem. But the new blanket scarves give me a whole new outlet for my blanket obsession love. We ditched cable several years ago due to price and we never really sat down to watch shows when they were on anyway. Monthly cable with DVR was ridiculously expensive where we live, so we quit them cold turkey. We got digital antennas for our tvs and a Roku for each one. We’ve never looked back. The number of available shows and channels keeps growing, and we can sit and watch whatever we want whenever we want. Couldn’t be any happier with our choice. Now there are about a meellion options for streaming devices, Roku even sells their own tvs already with streaming built in, but there are cheaper options as well. The above pictured Roku stick is currently $39.99, but there are other options, whichever is right for your home. We have saved a lot of money over the past few years not having cable. Take a look through the options and see if it’s something that is right for you. Most tvs these days come with built in wifi for streaming, so that’s a great option too.
